About the area

Around the Harbour from Steyne Park

Double Bay is one of Sydney's most affluent harbourside villages, known for its designer boutiques and alfresco cafes along the main shopping strip, and jokingly nicknamed Double Pay for the price tag that comes with it.

Steyne Park, on the waterfront, was first set aside for public recreation in 1834 and officially dedicated in 1867. It's home to a ferry wharf, a small war memorial, and Double Bay's playground and foreshore.

It's a confirmed 2.7km, a 3-minute drive around the harbour, from Double Bay to the Double Bay tennis courts at Rushcutters Bay Park.
